Why did you choose this program? I chose this program as a way to further enhance my business skill set while forming relationships with students, professors, and professionals around the world. My undergraduate degree and prior work experience were heavily quantitative, and I felt that this program would enable me to strengthen my soft skills. In particular, I believe that this program offers an unparalleled opportunity to develop my global mindset, an invaluable strength to have in today’s business environment. No other program facilitates this type of living and learning among a small but very diverse group of students across three continents, and I think this experience will help set me apart as I seek to pursue a career in management consulting.

What do you enjoy about the program so far? I am really enjoying getting to know the other 58 members of my class. Everyone brings different experiences and backgrounds to the table so there’s the opportunity for us to learn as much from each other as we do in the classroom. In addition, I am enjoying the coursework so far. Our professors are really passionate and knowledgeable about the subjects they are teaching, which makes for engaging class sessions. I’m really looking forward to our Doing Business in the U.S./Decision Making & Analysis courses’ joint group project this semester as well, because we will present our final results to executives from a Chinese company expanding into the United States.

What has surprised you about the program so far? I think I am most surprised by how quickly we have all adjusted to our new surroundings and formed relationships with each other. I was a little uneasy about living with the same people I had every class with; however, I am finding the experience to be very rewarding. I can’t wait to experience China and Europe from the perspectives of my new friends.

Fun facts: I have been bungee jumping off of the highest bungee bridge in the world on the Garden Route in South Africa. My favorite movie is "Legally Blonde."

Hobbies: Travel, SEC football (hotty toddy!), and pure barre.
